Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Grade 3/4 Generalist Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in middle school education and a deep understanding of adolescent development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and empower students through engaging and interactive learning experiences.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the Alberta curriculum and educational standards.
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and persona l growth.
Foster critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills among students through various instructional strategies and activities.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students and maintain high academic expectations for all.
Assess student progress regularly using a variety of assessment tools and provide constructive feedback to support student learning.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to support student success and well-being.
Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching practice and stay current with best practices in education
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
● Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.
● First Nations education experience highly desirable.
● Specialization or demonstrated expertise in middle school education.
● Strong classroom management skills and ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
● Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
